Kim is originally from Montcalm, WV and has lived in Mooresville since 1987.
Joe and Kim have a heart for and love children. It is their desire that the children know that they are sons and daughters of the King, that they are an integral and functional part of the body and the Kingdom of God even at a young age. They want to provide a fun environment that encourages the kids to learn about having relationships with God & others, build a strong foundation in the word, to hear and be led by the Holy Spirit, to learn prayer & intercession and to experience true worship.
Many years ago, they were told that the next big revival would be with kids. They are standing on that word and contending for it!
The Little Children and Jesus
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on then and blessed them.

Scott & Melissa Forsyth, Leaders of Middle School Youth Ministry
Scott & Melissa lead the middle school youth ministry (Tidal Wave) at RiverLife. They started attending RiverLife Fellowship shortly after moving to Mooresville in 2003 from Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Ministering Christ to the this generation of youth has always been a passion of theirs, and they have been involved in youth ministry in one capacity or another since graduating from Christ For the Nations Canada in 1996.
In 2006 they started Tidal Wave Youth at RiverLife Fellowship along with Nate & Stacy VanWassenhove. Their vision is to provide a place for the youth in 6th through 8th grades to learn, grow and worship during the critical transition years between Sunday School and High School. It is during these years that the youth are established in their walk with the Lord and start to step out on their own in their relationship with Jesus. It is vital for middle schoolers to know the church has a place for them!
Scott & Melissa also help direct RiverLife Fellowship’s summer youth camp, Camp Morley, which is a highlight of the year for the youth ministry.
