Dear Church Family,

We begin the First Friday Worship in the summer of 2012 about the time we had problems with our roof. Those 2 years from 2012 to 2014 were very challenging for us as a congregation. I am so thankful that last fall God called us to move on and cross over into a new season. I believe the First Friday Worship was vital in helping us heal and be prepared to move on.

Last summer I began to sense a change coming concerning the First Friday. After a lot of prayer and conversation, we concluded we should stop doing them. We want to do something a little different. We plan to bring in guest worship leaders/teams for special nights of worship. Jonathan Helser was the first of such nights. That was a beginning we will not forget.

We have several friends who have tremendous ministries that have expressed interest in coming.

Josh Baldwin will be probably our next guest worshipper. Josh did one of my favorite CD’s, Rivers. We do a couple of his songs, Praises and You Deserve It All, regularly at RiverLife. He is the worship pastor at Queen City Church in Charlotte. He recently signed with Bethel Music.

Steven Roach and Songs of Water are a unique and very anointed group. Steven has been at our church several times with the Helser’s and actually preached here once. They have recently finished a new CD. Look forward to getting them back.

Anthony Skinner, I tell people if God would have made me an artist it would be in the genre of Anthony Skinner. He has been at our church a couple of times and he is just an amazing man. His ministry has touched me pretty significantly.

That is our plan going forward. We will keep you in the loop on dates, etc.

 Shalom, Byron
