Your Kairos Moment

Your Kairos Moment

January 01, 2016 - Byron Wicker

And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah (1 Kings 18:1)

It says “after many days…the word of the Lord came.” It was the moment Elijah had been waiting on and being prepared for over three years. It was that special moment we all look for in our lives. There is a New Testament word that explains what was happened with Elijah: Kairos.

It means “the appointed time in the purpose of God, the time when God acts.” Sometimes called the “right time”, “due time”, “significant time” or “appointed season” It is the intersection of heaven and earth. Those moments in our lives when the veil is thin or even rolled back.

The best way I can describe it as those times that have the potential to mark our lives, something shifts and life can be looked and thought about differently from that point on.
