  • This Morning: For the Joy of the Word—9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion.   • This Afternoon: Lunch with Crowns of Glory (Ages 50+)— The Crowns of Glory Life Group will gather for lunch after today’s service at the Jolly’s house. We invite anyone over 50 to join us for an enjoyable afternoon! Bring a bag lunch; dessert and drinks will be provided. Contact Pam [704-663-7775 / [email protected]] for details.
  • Wednesday: Intercessory Prayer Meeting— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Thursday: Men of Fire (Men’s Fellowship)— 7:00 p.m. in the church’s back building. Contact Tommy McCraw [[email protected]] for more information.
  • Saturday: Men’s Ministry Breakfast— from 8:00-9:30 a.m. in RiverLife’s back building. Please join us for our first monthly men’s breakfast gathering! This will be a time of fellowship, sharing, and eating lots of bagels with sausage, bacon and eggs. Coffee, juice and water will be provided as well. Please bring $5 to cover the cost of the meal.   • Saturday:  Journey Tribe (Young Adult Ministry)— Join us from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for a Blessing Day at the Morrow’s House. We’ll eat lunch afterwards at Barcelona in Mooresville. See the Journey Tribe Facebook page for details or call Jenny [704-807-0906].
  • Sunday, August 26: Sojourn (Women’s Ministry) at the Lake— from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Jo Carol (Rhonda’s Mom) and Frannie’s house on Lake Norman. We welcome you to join us next Sunday to relax, have a bite to eat and visit with one another. Please bring: 1) a chair 2) a salad to share 3) and your swimsuit, if you want to swim.   • Wednesday, August 29: Love Life Charlotte Day of Prayer & Fasting— You are invited to join us! We are partnering with Mooresville area congregations and Love Life Charlotte (a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis) for a day of prayer and fasting for breakthrough in our city. When the people of God agree in prayer, there is a noticeable shift in the atmosphere along with tangible results on the ground.   • Saturday, September 1:  Love Life Charlotte Prayer Walk— 9:00-11:00 a.m. near Preferred Women’s Health Center of Charlotte. We will join several other Mooresville area churches and Love Life Charlotte (a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis) for a prayer walk around Charlotte’s busiest abortion clinic. This will not be a protest, but instead a Gracious Stand for Life with a message of “LIFE instead of death, HOPE rather than despair, and FORGIVENESS without condemnation”.   • November 9-11: Sojourn Retreat Registration Now Open— Registration is now open for our 2018 Sojourn Women’s Ministry Retreat at Bonclarken! This year our theme is Victorious and is based on Psalm 45:4. We are privileged and excited to welcome renowned Attorney, Author & Speaker, Elizabeth A. Nixon, Esq., as our special guest speaker. Elizabeth will be teaching key spiritual principles that transform lives and launch people into their Destiny. The Early Bird discount is available until Sunday, September 16.
