Dear People Who Keep Company With God,

The year 2010 has been a two edged sword for me. It has been my best year yet in terms of “visions and revelations of the Lord” 2 Cor. 12:1, but it has also been a year of facing some very difficult situations and heartbreak.

Looking back I see it was a time of preparation for some new spiritual horizons the Lord had planned for me. I also see the Father re-enforced me with His grace during this time as challenges and heartbreak would soon visit my house.

This past spring I began to experience something different while on a mission trip in Asia. I had an open vision; for a moment, in which time seemed to stand still, I found myself looking into the eyes of eternity and love, it was the eyes of the Lord Jesus Himself. It is difficult to really explain what happened in me in that brief moment.

That experience set off a chain reaction of spiritual happenings in my life. I spent the summer being set free of stuff I did not even know I needed to be freed from and experiencing Joel 2:25 restoration. This led me into a very special experience of John 4:23-24 worship. In the midst of this I began to develop a real friendship with the Lord Jesus, something I had always wanted in my Christian life. Spiritually, it was an awesome summer for me. As the psalmist said, “This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in my eyes.” Psalms 118:23

While on a mission trip in South America in July the Lord opened my eyes to the profound glory of the blood of Christ and the cross. I saw with new eyes the intense suffering and violent death of Jesus Christ on the cross. This ignited love in my heart for Him like I have never had and I have learned to practically apply the blood of Christ to my life and the results are really amazing.

In the fall I had another open vision of the Lord Jesus Himself. This one was wild. I saw the liquid/vapor fire stream that flows from Him and His throne enveloping Him (Dan. 7:9-10). In that vision I saw the glory of the ministry of righteousness (2 Cor. 3:9), which I believe is the glory God is releasing in these last days that will transform the church (Rev. 19:7-8).

I have been asking the Lord for years to give me more revelation on John 3:16. He did it late this year while meditating in Ephesians chapter 1; it was the word “begotten.” You find out how precious to God Jesus is when you look at what the word “begotten” implies. Jesus is of exceeding value to God because He is extremely rare, a one of a kind. God the Father so desired us to be adopted into His family that He paid the highest possible price He could, His extremely rare, one of a kind, beloved Son. Jesus is the most precious man that ever walked on the earth.

The revelation of the Father’s heart of love continues to transform me. It is about what the Father did for me, how He made me accepted in His family, gave me security, identity, wholeness and takes responsibility for providing for me. But the revelation of Jesus Christ is different. It is about how precious He is. That does not sound profound, but it is everything.

Many Blessings, BW
