His Presence

His Presence

March 03, 2019 - Marlin Mogusu

We are a people who carry the fragrance of Christ. Fragrance can be translates into “His Presence”. If there is anything you need to be continuously hungry for, fight for and keep on cultivating your heart for, it is the presence of the King Himself. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to cultivate that place for His presence. The train of His robe filled the temple and we are the temple of the Lord. (1 Cor. 3:16) He desires to fill us with an ever increasing presence.

Jesus had a repetitive thing He would do. He would pray for the sick, He would multiply stuff and then He would disappear, He would retreat. He returned from the mountain and picked out the disciples, He return from the mountain and multiplied the loaves and fishes. The pattern is Jesus in His father’s presence and then He comes out and releases that presence. His presence is in us and it effects the atmosphere around us. There is something about the presence of the Lord that we are continually encouraged by the Holy Spirit to carry. That is a difference maker. King David is a good example of carrying the presence of the Lord. Some examples of Jesus going up on the mountain or a solitary place: Mat. 14:23, Mark 1:35, Luke 6:12.

Jesus invited the disciples into the same secret place where Jesus went to be with the Lord. Jesus invited them there so they could not only understand but could also receive a deep impartation of what it means to be in the presence of God. (Luke 9:28). Find that secret place that you start allowing yourself to go to which will allow the Holy Spirit to cultivate a place in your heart so that His presence can be fully manifested in you. You will find yourself starting to invite people into that same place. Inviting people into that place where they can actually experience God’s presence. When you experience His presence you cannot come back the same. Something changes in you. And the more you’re in His presence the more continual transformation you will have.

You’ll find out that in the good times or the bad times, the consistent thing that actually delivers you from the bad times and increases the good times is His presence!

This is an invitation to go into the secret place to experience His presence and then go out and release His presence! There is not a separation between the presence and the Lord Himself. His presence is Him. He is the presence. There is not a divide anywhere.

You still live in the world. There are situations where you are going to stumble, but get up and run towards the Lord! He’s not holding anything against us! Everything that He planned from the begging, even before you said yes to Jesus, He already accounted for all of that stuff and He made a way anyway. Not based on the fact that we would say yes but is based in His yes towards us. It’s a continuous yes and amen. His blood continuously cleanses us.  This says it all:

“And now we are brothers and sisters in God’s family because of the blood of Jesus, and he welcomes us to come right into the most holy sanctuary in the heavenly realm—boldly and with no hesitation. For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him! And since we now have a magnificent King-Priest to welcome us into God’s house, we come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity and we have been freed from an accusing conscience and now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out!” Heb. 10:19-22 (TPT)

That is the truth of how God sees us. That is the truth of what Jesus sacrificed His life for, that we may have full access to His presence without any limitations, without us feeling like we have to earn it somehow so that we can actually get to His presence.

Be free to enter into His presence with no hesitation. Be free to create a secret place for you and the Lord where that presence is continuously cultivated. Be a carrier of His presence!
