Love and Sacrifice

Everything we build in life is built with something. You can build with hate, jealousy, disappointment, or fear. In John 21, Jesus was having one last one on one conversation with Peter. Jesus would soon put the fate of the soon to be born church under Peter’s leadership. What did He talk to Peter about? He spoke to Peter about building his life with love and using that love to care for the church. But, he didn’t stop at love. There is no such thing as love apart from sacrifice. We sacrifice for what we love. Sacrifice is an outward expression of our love for God and each other.
