The Parable of the Talents begins with this amazing phrase, “The kingdom of heaven is like…” We have prayed for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the kingdom parables, Jesus is revealing what heaven is like and how heaven thinks. Faithfulness and stewardship are highly prized in heaven. Promotion and upgrade are also high on heavens agenda. The three servants in the story were given an opportunity to become stewards. Managers of their master’s goods. This parable teaches us how to become good stewards of heavens goods and finances.
