Wind, Fire and the Tongue

Wind, Fire and the Tongue

May 31, 2020 - Byron Wicker

The Bible uses many metaphors and analogies to describe the Holy Spirit’s activities and our relationship to those activities. Some notable examples are the dove, rivers of living waters, oil, the comforter, and advocate. On the day of Pentecost, the promise of the Father came upon those gathered in the upper room. The Holy Spirit appeared in the form of Wind, Fire, and Tongues. Each of these is foundational to knowing and having a healthy relationship with the third person of the blessed Trinity, the Holy Spirit.
