Stand by Me [December 3, 2012]

A few weeks ago at our bi-weekly E-merge Meeting, I talked to the girls about the unfulfilled promises that Dotty Schmitt spoke about at the retreat. Afterward as usual we talked, but this night each girl poured out their hearts; there were tears, laughs and just pure love for one another. We ended that night with prayer, but even that was different. The girls began to intercede for our nation, for our church family and one another. What impressed me was that all the burdens each girl shared that night, someone remembered and prayed over that situation. It really touched my heart knowing that the girls are listening to each other and care. As each girl’s burden was lifted in prayer, the feeling was as though we stood right beside her and held her up.

This is what E-merge is about, standing alongside one another and helping push through. We want E-merge to be a safe place to share life’s challenges and victories. Our goal is to create an encouraging supportive environment, while blending the younger with the older by mentoring through experience and relationship. Contributed by Rebecca Stark
