  • This Morning: For the Joy of the Word— 9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion or watch the class on YouTube.   • This Afternoon: Rio de Vida (Hispanic Ministry) Fellowship Meal— After the morning worship service, Rio de Vida will gather in the back building to share a meal and time of fellowship. Contact Luis & Novah for more information [980-292-1242 / [email protected]].
  • Monday: Sojourn Women’s Ministry— 7:00 p.m. in RiverLife’s BACK building. Come join us in a relaxed atmosphere with sweet fellowship and light refreshments, followed by worship and a time of sharing the Lord’s heart. Sojourn is a great place to catch up with old friends or to meet new ones. Women of all ages are welcome. Hope to see you there!
  • Tuesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— Canceled this week; see you next Tuesday!
  • Wednesday: Intercessory Prayer Meeting— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: CONNECTIONS: Parent Child Attachment Workshop— 10: 30 a.m. to 12 noon in the back building on Wednesdays. Join our 10-week (March 14-May 16) group-oriented, interactive counseling series to foster skills for effective parenting. Free childcare is available; please provide number and ages of children.   • Wednesday: High School Youth— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Thursday: Cancer Companions Course— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in RiverLife’s back building. Cancer Companions, a Christ-centered ministry that reaches out to anyone in treatment, post treatment or their loved ones, is offering a FREE 9-week course in the Lake Norman area at RiverLife on Thursday evenings. We are currently offering this course every spring and fall for adult or teen cancer victims, their families and/or caregivers. Spanish interpretation is available.   • Thursday: Men of Fire (Men’s Fellowship)— 7:00 p.m. in the church’s back building. Contact Tommy McCraw [[email protected]] for more information.
  • Thursday: Holy Ghost Girls (20’s & 30’s Ladies)— 7:00 p.m. at Donna’s house. We seek to provide a safe place for young women to encounter God and to be activated in the gifts that God has placed inside them. Email Donna [[email protected]] for information and directions.
  • Saturday: Board Game Night— If you like to play board games, come and join us in the back building from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Board game champions of all ages are invited! We’ll have some games on hand, but feel free to bring one of your own to share! Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Sunday, May 20: Graduate Recognition— On Sunday, May 20 we will honor graduates. If you would like to be included in this time of recognition and blessing, please email Mya [[email protected]] with the following information:  1) Your Name 2) the Diploma or Degree that You Will Receive and 3) the Name of Your School.
  • May 25-27: RLF Camping Trip at Fort Hamby State Park— This is a great time for our church family to get together for fun, good food and great fellowship. Singles, couples and/or families are welcome to join us. The group campsite is for tents only, but if you are not a tent camper there are places close to the group camping site for campers and RV’s. $10 non–refundable per person deposit is due by Sunday, May 20. The total cost depends on the number of campers and is usually $10-15 (excluding food). The balance will be collected the weekend of the camping trip.
