  • This Morning: For the Joy of the Word—9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion.   • This Evening: Sojourn (Women’s Ministry) at the Lake— from 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Jo Carol (Rhonda’s Mom) and Frannie’s house on Lake Norman. We welcome you to join us for a fun evening on the lake! We will relax, have a bite to eat and visit with one another. Please bring: 1) a chair 2) a salad to share 3) and your swimsuit, if you want to swim.   • Wednesday: Love Life Charlotte Day of Prayer & Fasting— We are partnering with several Mooresville area congregations and Love Life Charlotte for a Day of Prayer and Fasting for breakthrough in our city. We believe our combined prayers will help tip the bowls in Heaven (Revelation 5)! Sign-up in the foyer to receive specific prayer requests and more information. Love Life is a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis.   • Wednesday: Intercessory Prayer Meeting— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Saturday:  Love Life Charlotte Prayer Walk— 9:00-11:00 a.m. near Preferred Women’s Health Center of Charlotte. We will join several Mooresville area churches and Love Life Charlotte for a Prayer Walk around Charlotte’s busiest abortion clinic. This will not be a protest, but instead a Gracious Stand for Life with a message of “LIFE instead of death, HOPE rather than despair, and FORGIVENESS without condemnation”. Love Life is a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis.   • November 9-11: Sojourn Retreat Registration Now Open— Registration is now open for our 2018 Sojourn Women’s Ministry Retreat at Bonclarken! This year our theme is Victorious and is based on Psalm 45:4. We are privileged and excited to welcome renowned Attorney, Author & Speaker, Elizabeth A. Nixon, Esq., as our special guest speaker. Elizabeth will be teaching key spiritual principles that transform lives and launch people into their Destiny. The Early Bird discount is available until Sunday, September 16.
