- This Afternoon: Tidal Wave Kick-Off (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— Right after church, our leaders will carpool the kids to lunch (don’t forget to bring $10) and then over to the Croley’s house for a fun afternoon at the lake. We will have Water Relay Races and a bunch of other cool games (so bring your swimsuits and towels)! Parents please pick your kids up at 5:00 p.m. at the Croley’s house [283 Riverwood Road | Mooresville 28117]. Email us [[email protected]] with any questions.
- Monday: Sojourn Women’s Ministry— 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Come join us in a relaxed atmosphere with sweet fellowship and light refreshments, followed by worship and a time of sharing the Lord’s heart. Sojourn is a great place to catch up with old friends or to meet new ones. Women of all ages are welcome!
- Monday: Collection Deadline for The Odd Sock— We are collecting unmatched and unwanted socks for distribution in Romania. The socks will be distributed to street children, the poor, and the homeless through a local Christian non-profit in Romania. Donations are being collected in the box in the foyer. Financial donations are requested in lieu of NEW socks to help cover bulk purchases, transportation and distribution costs. If you would like to make a financial donation, ask Tim Ulrich for details. - Wednesday: Intercessory Prayer Meeting— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
- Thursday: Healing Rooms— 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the church’s main building. Everyone is welcome! Feel free to invite your family and friends to drop by to receive prayer for physical healing. “By His wounds, we are healed!” Isaiah 53:5
- Friday: Seeking His Presence— Seeking His Presence is a new Statesville area LifeLink that will be hosted by Bill & Sheryl Bee and Larry & Cheryl Foldoe. The group will gather on the 1st Friday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Bee Hive [210 Ridgeway Avenue | Statesville 28677]. Each meeting will begin with a covered dish meal and time of fellowship. The group will watch Bill Johnson’s “Hosting the Presence” video series and study/discuss the accompanying workbook. Workbooks are $20 each. - September 11-13: Fall Camping Trip at Fort Hamby— A non-refundable deposit of $10.00 per person is due by Sunday, Sept 6. The balance (usually about $10-15 per person, depending on the price of food) will be due the weekend of the trip. - Tuesday, September 15: Women in the Word— This Bible study and fellowship group for women will resume meeting this fall on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in our Prayer Room. If you would like more information, contact Rhonda [704-528-8000 / [email protected]].
- Friday, September 18: Night of Worship with Kelanie Gloeckler— 7:00 p.m. here at RiverLife. Plan to join us for an evening in His presence! Childcare will be available for children ages 0-4.
Ministry in Focus:
- Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— Tidal Wave meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in RLF’s back building. We will resume our regular schedule (we have been on summer break) after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 8. Our desire is to create an environment for middle school youth to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, in their knowledge and love of the Word, in their spiritual gifts and in worship.
