This Morning: For the Joy of the Word— 9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion. Wednesday, August 29: Love Life Charlotte Day of Prayer & Fasting— You are invited to join us! We are partnering with Mooresville area congregations and Love Life Charlotte (a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis) for a day of prayer and fasting for breakthrough in our city. When the people of God agree in prayer, there is a noticeable shift in the atmosphere along with tangible results on the ground. Saturday, September 1: Love Life Charlotte Prayer Walk— 9:00-11:00 a.m. near Preferred Women’s Health Center of Charlotte. We will join several other Mooresville area churches and Love Life Charlotte (a pro-life ministry dedicated to uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of Love and Life that will bring an end to the abortion and orphan crisis) for a prayer walk around Charlotte’s busiest abortion clinic. This will not be a protest, but instead a Gracious Stand for Life with a message of “…LIFE instead of death, HOPE rather than despair, and FORGIVENESS without condemnation”.
