The Fall Festival is on Sunday, November 5, and this event would not be possible without a team of amazing volunteers! We will need your help setting up, serving food, cleaning and packing up, and making cakes for the Cake Walk.

Fall Festival Volunteer Sign-Ups
  • This Morning: Morning Worship Service— Join us in person in our Sanctuary or virtually (on our RiverLife Media YouTube Channel or our RiverLife Media Facebook page) for our morning worship service starting at 10:00 AM. Pastor Byron Wicker will share.
  • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 PM at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time of fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 PM. Then, around 7:00 PM, we transition to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. Finally, we like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead. So, if you love waffles and want to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check out our group!   • Monday: Who God Is & Who We Are in Him (Mooresville)— 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Sharon’s house. Discovering the true nature of God and who we are in Him is the focus of our group. Adults (men and women) of all ages are welcome! No childcare is available. Group Leaders are Sharon Mast and Brian & Anita Kurn. For more information, contact Sharon [503-577-4632].
  • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon in the Sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays. We are about sharing our hearts, developing relationships, and getting into the Word. Everyone is welcome! For more information, please contact Rhonda [704-528-8000 / [email protected]].
  • Tuesday: RiverLife School of Ministry— 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM in the back building. The RiverLife School of Ministry endeavors to train those who have a recognized call of God on their lives for Kingdom ministry within and outside the church through teaching sound doctrine, training in biblical leadership, activation of spiritual gifts, and equipping in preaching ministry. Visit our website for more information.
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship, followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests and Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Journey through the Living Word— 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Sanctuary. You are invited to join us on a journey through the Bible with the Holy Spirit as our guide! We are halfway through the Bible, and you can still join in. The reading schedule is located on the white desk in the foyer.   • Wednesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— Tidal Wave is off this week. See you next Wednesday!
  • Wednesday: High School Youth— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the church’s back building. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us! Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Thursday: Practical Christianity (Mooresville)— 6:00 PM at the Croley’s house. Our gathering includes a covered dish dinner, Bible study, prayer, and discussion about relevant topics that are practical to everyday life. So bring your Bible and join us! Contact Sue [[email protected]] for directions or more information.
  • Friday: Tidal Wave Camp Out— All Middle School Youth are invited to attend a Tidal Wave Camp Out at the Vanwassenhove’s place in Mooresville! The fun starts at 7:00 PM Friday, with pickup on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. The cost is $5 per student. Please contact Stacy [704-763-5389] for more information.
  • Friday: Draw Near Worship & Encounter Night— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Sanctuary. You are invited to a night of worship dedicated to the Lord and His presence! Come. Rest in Him; praise Him; open your heart to Him, and pursue His heart. Childcare is available for children ages 2 -5 years old.
  • Saturday: Thy Kingdom Come (Prayer Meeting)— 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the church’s back building. God wants to pour Himself out over RiverLife! He wants to bring His people into deeper realms of His Presence; He wants to tabernacle among us. These Saturday morning meetings are a time for us to seek after the Holy Spirit in unity and respond to the tugging on the hearts of our congregation. Any adult (men & women) who desires to know the Holy Spirit deeper, to see Him move, and to draw closer to Him is welcome. No childcare is available. The Father’s Table provides food assistance to families in our fellowship and community. Food and monetary donations are welcome! For monetary donations, please use our website or app or put “Father’s Table” on the memo line of your gift. October Father’s Table Needs:

Please consider supporting the Father’s Table with a monetary donation or by purchasing any of the following items:

  • Breakfast: Oatmeal, Cereal, Pancake Mix, Eggs, Bacon, and Sausage
  • Lunch: Sliced Bread, Sliced Cheese, Lunch Meat,
    Ramen Noodles (All Flavors), Condiments: Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Pickle Relish, Peanut Butter, and Jelly
  • Dinner: Hamburger Helper, Mac & Cheese, Rice-A-Roni, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Veggies: Mixed, Corn, Tomatoes, Peas, and Black Beans
  • Snacks: Cheese of All Kinds, Snack Crackers, Chips, and Cookies
Drop-Offs:  Sundays 10 AM -12:30 PM | Wednesdays 11-11:30 AM | The Foyer
  • Saturday, October 14: Church Board Game Night— Let the games begin! We will meet in the back building from 6:00 PM until we’re done. We’ll have plenty of board games, but feel free to bring your own. Please bring a snack to share. This is an event geared toward adults. No childcare is available.   • Sunday, November 5: RiverLife’s 2023 Fall Festival — You are invited to join us on Sunday, November 5, from 1:00 PM – to 5:00 PM at Patterson Farm in Mt. Ulla for our 2023 Fall Festival! Patterson Farm offers a variety of fun Fall activities for the entire family, including a 2.5-acre corn maze, a petting zoo, and hayrides! Get ready to feast at our potluck BBQ lunch!
  • Each family should bring two (2) HOMEMADE sides (such as macaroni & cheese, potato salad, pasta salad, slaw, casseroles, tossed salads, fruit, rolls/bread, etc.).
  • Singles should bring one (1) dessert (such as cookies, pies, brownies, cupcakes, fudge, etc.). Please, NO slow cookers, hot plates, etc. We will not have electricity available for plug-ins.

Fall Festival Volunteer Sign-Ups
  • Mid-November thru Mid-December 2023: Operation Christmas Child Full-Time Seasonal Work Opportunity— Samaritan’s Purse is looking to hire approximately 500+ Christian men and women to fill full-time paid positions for a four-week project with Operation Christmas Child. Positions include various customer service and warehouse roles (including team coaches, greeters, heavy lifters, Class-A CDL drivers, and forklift operators). This is seasonal employment at the Operation Christmas Child facility in Charlotte. Customer service and warehouse positions pay $20/hour, and Class-A CDL driver positions pay $25/hour.
