• This Morning: For the Joy of the Word— 9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion. Contact Cindy [[email protected] / 704-488-9350] for more information.
  • This Afternoon: Church Baptism at the Croley’s House on Lake Norman—If you haven’t signed up and want to be baptized, it’s NOT too late. Please contact Mya ASAP. Everyone is welcome to arrive for Lunch and Fellowship at the Croley’s directly after the morning worship service. Please bring lunch for your family as well as your lawn chair or blankets for seating. The Baptism will begin at 2:00 PM. Printed directions to the Croley’s house are on the black table in the foyer. (***Important Reminder***Please park on the left side of Riverwood Road in front of the Croley’s home and NOT across the street in their neighbor’s yard.) AFTER the Baptism, we will have lifeguards on duty to watch over those who wish to swim. However, parents are ultimately responsible for maintaining their children’s safety. Parents of children ages 8 and younger need to supervise their children in the water or from the dock. As an extra precaution, we ask that ALL swimmers wear or use a personal flotation device. We’ll have some noodles on hand for those who don’t bring their own floaties or life jackets. We hope you will join us for an afternoon of fellowship and fun on the lake!
