  • This Morning: Morning Worship Service— Join us in person in our Sanctuary or virtually (on our RiverLife Media YouTube Channel or our RiverLife Media Facebook page) for our morning worship service starting at 10:00 AM. Pastor Byron will share.
  • This Morning: High School Youth Sunday School Class (Grades 9-12)— The high school youth Sunday school class meets on Sunday mornings from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon in the youth room in RiverLife’s back building. Come and join us! Reach out to Cory [[email protected]] for more information.
  • Today: Deadline to Register for VBS— See below (under Calendar of Upcoming Events) for details
  • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 PM at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time of fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 PM. Then, around 7:00 PM, we transition to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. Finally, we like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead. So if you love waffles and want to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check out our group! Contact Brian Stepanek [704-618-3792] for more details.
  • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon in the Sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays. We are about sharing our hearts, developing relationships, and getting into the Word. Everyone is welcome! For more information, please contact Rhonda [704-528-8000 / [email protected]].
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship, followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests and Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Volley for Service (H.S. Youth Bible Study)— 7:00 PM. Join us at RiverLife every Wednesday in July for a High School Youth Bible Study about living in the Kingdom of God! The first 45 minutes of the study will be a pickup volleyball game, but if you don’t prefer to play, that’s totally ok! We’re happy to have you join us as a spectator, or you can arrive at 7:45 for our Bible Study in the back building. Contact Oliver ([email protected] / 704-402-7190) for more information.
  • Wednesday: Journey through the Living Word— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Sanctuary. You are invited to join us on a year-long journey through the Bible with the Holy Spirit as our guide! This class aims to introduce the culture and history of the weekly Bible scripture passage, track the location, examine the timeline, and more. Together, we will read the Old Testament through to the New Testament in a unique chronological order. The first part of each class will present the new passages for the week, and then we’ll talk about the exciting things we’ve learned in the past week. Choose your favorite translation or download an app and listen to the Bible; grab a journal and record your revelations and impressions. All ages are welcome!   • Thursday: Men of Fire (Men’s Fellowship)— 7:00 PM in the church’s back building. We focus on the Scriptures, prayer, and building one another up. We meet to support all the men in our fellowship and the church at large. Gathering in a small group helps us to develop closer relationships and encourages us to stand together in our walk with Jesus. Contact Tommy McCraw [[email protected]] for more information.
The Father’s Table provides food assistance to families in our fellowship and community. Food and monetary donations are welcome! For monetary donations, please use our website, our app, or put “Father’s Table” on the memo line of your gift. VBS Participant Registration
Saturday, August 5: RESCHEDULED David Rummage Memorial Roping Event— 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Gather together at Jeff Hammond’s Arena (470 Phifer Rd., Cleveland, NC) in memoriam to David Rummage. The team roping event starts at 10:00 AM, with a memorial to follow at approximately noon. Admission is free, and you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. There will be multiple food trucks to choose from. A limited number of David Rummage Memorial Roping logo t-shirts, koozies, and hats will also be available. If you plan to participate, RSVP so organizers can ensure a sufficient number of steers are on hand.
