  • This Morning: For the Joy of the Word— 9:00-9:50 a.m. in the Youth Room in RiverLife’s back building. For the Joy of the Word is a fun year-long journey through the Bible with Holy Spirit as our guide. We look at the references to Jesus, the hand of the Father, and the work of the Holy Spirit in each book. On Sunday mornings we introduce the new readings for the week (examining culture, history, location, historical timeline, etc.) and discuss the exciting things we’ve learned during the past week. We are reading the Old Testament alongside the New Testament, with Psalms and Proverbs. Anyone is welcome! You can also join our Facebook group discussion or watch the class on YouTube. Contact Cindy [[email protected] / 704-488-9350] for more information.

Our church is participating in the Power of the Cross Identity Rally again this year. This evangelistic outreach is designed to share with the community how one’s identity can change through the Power of the Cross. Volunteers are needed to serve during the Rally in a variety of capacities. You can serve for a single night or for multiple nights. If you would like to serve as an Encourager (someone who is on hand after the altar call to follow up with new believers by getting their information and helping them get signed up for a discipleship class), you will need to attend a training on Monday, April 9. Contact Pete Bartemus [704-577-2465] for more information about volunteering.
