• VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Sunday, November 6: RiverLife’s 2022 Fall Festival— You are invited to join us on Sunday, November 6 from 1-5 p.m. at Patterson Farm in Mt. Ulla for our 2022 Fall Festival! Patterson Farm has a bevy of fun, Fall activities for the entire family to enjoy, including a 2.5-acre corn maze, a petting zoo and hayrides! We’ll feast on pulled pork BBQ from Smoke Pit during our potluck lunch! Each family should bring 2 HOMEMADE sides (such as macaroni & cheese, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, chili, soup, slaw, casseroles, tossed salads, cooked veggies, fruit, rolls/bread, etc.). And singles should bring 1 dessert (such as cookies, pies, brownies, cupcakes, fudge, s’mores, homemade ice cream, etc.) and 1 drink (such as lemonade, tea, soda, juice, punch, sparkling water, etc.). This event would not be possible without a team of amazing people! We need help with setting-up, serving food, packing-up and the Cake Walk.   • This Morning: Sunday Morning Worship Service— Join us in-person in our sanctuary or virtually (on our RiverLife Media YouTube Channel or on our RiverLife Media Facebook page) for our morning worship service, starting at 10:00 a.m. Byron Wicker will share.
  • This Morning: High School Youth Sunday School Class (Grades 9-12)— The high school youth Sunday school class will continue to meet on Sunday mornings from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the youth room in RiverLife’s back building.   • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 p.m. at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while also remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time for fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 p.m. We then transition around 7:00 p.m. to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. We then like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead of us. If you love waffles and are looking to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check our group out!   • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays.   • Tuesday: RiverLife School of Ministry— 6:30-9:00 p.m. in the foyer. Discover Your Calling! Dive Into God’s Word! Get Equipped for Ministry! Bring The Power of God to Your Generation! Visit our website for more information.
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests as well as Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Our desire is to create an environment for middle schoolers to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, in their knowledge and love of the Word, in their spiritual gifts and in worship. We also believe that social interaction is a key part of a group of this age and have plenty of opportunities for fun and activities.   • Wednesday: High School Youth— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us! Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Thursday: Men of Fire (Men’s Fellowship)— 7:00 p.m. in the church’s back building. We focus on the Scriptures, prayer and building up one another. We meet to support all the men in our fellowship as well as the fellowship as a whole. Gathering in a small group helps us to develop closer relationships and encourages us to stand together in our walk with Jesus. Contact Tommy McCraw [[email protected]] for more information.
  • Friday: Crowns of Glory Fellowship Lunch (Ages 55+)— 11:30 a.m. in RiverLife’s back building multipurpose room. Bring your own lunch and drink and join us for fun and fellowship! Contact Pam [704-663-7775 / [email protected]] if you have any questions.
  • Saturday: Men’s Prayer Group— 7:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. This prayer time has been a free-flowing mixture of worship, testimony and prayer. We seek the Lord’s heart and pray accordingly! Please text Jeff Miller [704-775-6652] on Friday for our Saturday meeting details.

Overflow Parking Available for Sunday Mornings

  • Our neighbors at Ms. Jenny’s Rocking Horse Ranch (the daycare in front of our church property) have graciously agreed to allow us to use their parking lot on Sundays mornings for overflow parking if needed. If you don’t mind the short walk from the daycare to our church, please consider parking at Ms. Jenny’s to leave the parking spaces closest to the church building open for our seniors and visitors.
  1. The upper parking lot and the lower parking lot on their property are available to us.
  2. Please DO NOT park on their grass; ONLY park on their blacktop.
  3. There is a gravel driveway connecting both properties near our “Please Drive Slowly We Love Our Children” sign.
  • 2022 Building Fund: If you would like to make a contribution to the Building Fund to help pay off the mortgage on our church facility, cash or checks (made out to RLF and clearly labeled “Building Fund Offering”) can be placed in the offering plate or dropped in the offering box in the church foyer. If giving digitally, please choose “Building Fund Offering” from the drop-down Fund Menu.
