VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The Fall Festival is next Sunday, November 5, and this event would not be possible without a team of amazing volunteers! We still need help cleaning, packing up, and ensuring we have enough ice.

Fall Festival Volunteer Sign-Ups
  • This Morning: Morning Worship Service— Join us in person in our Sanctuary or virtually (on our RiverLife Media YouTube Channel or our RiverLife Media Facebook page) for our morning worship service starting at 10:00 AM. Becky Wicker will share.
  • This Morning: RiverLife Wilmington Church Service— 10:00 AM at The Sending Church (118 Rockledge Rd.) in Wilmington. Email Ryan and Mary [[email protected]] to get on the official mailing list, or follow RLW on Instagram [@riverlifewilmington] for updates.
  • Donations for RiverLife Wilmington: If you would like to sow into the launch of our RiverLife Wilmington church plant, cash or checks (made out to RiverLife and clearly labeled RL Wilmington) can be placed in the offering plate or dropped in the offering box in the church foyer. If giving digitally, please choose RL Wilmington from the drop-down Fund Menu.
  • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 PM at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time of fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 PM. Then, around 7:00 PM, we transition to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. Finally, we like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead. So, if you love waffles and want to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check out our group!   • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon in the Sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays. We are about sharing our hearts, developing relationships, and getting into the Word. Everyone is welcome! For more information, please get in touch with Rhonda [704-528-8000 / [email protected]].
  • Tuesday: RiverLife School of Ministry— 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM in the back building. The RiverLife School of Ministry endeavors to train those who have a recognized call of God on their lives for Kingdom ministry within and outside the church through teaching sound doctrine, training in biblical leadership, activation of spiritual gifts, and equipping in preaching ministry. Visit our website for more information.
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship, followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests and Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Journey through the Living Word— 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Sanctuary. You are invited to join us on a journey through the Bible with the Holy Spirit as our guide! We are halfway through the Bible, and you can still join in. The reading schedule is located on the white desk in the foyer.   • Wednesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the church’s back building. We desire to create an environment for middle schoolers to grow in their relationship with the Lord, knowledge and love of the Word, spiritual gifts, and worship. We also believe that social interaction is essential for a group of this age and have plenty of opportunities for activities and fun.   • Wednesday: High School Youth— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the church’s back building. Students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us! Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Thursday: Practical Christianity (Mooresville)— 6:00 PM at the Croley’s house. Our gathering includes a covered dish dinner, Bible study, prayer, and discussion about relevant topics that are practical to everyday life. So bring your Bible and join us! Contact Sue [[email protected]] for directions or more information.
  • Thursday: “I Am Zealous for Zion” 2 Intercessory Prayer Night—
    7:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Please join us in the Sanctuary for another night of intercession for Israel. Now is the time to engage in the spiritual warfare surrounding her. Let’s unite as a family to cry out to our Father for salvation, mercy, strength, and peace for Israel, the Arab nations, and all peoples. Feel free to stop by anytime during the three-hour window. Stay for a little while, or stick around for the whole night.
  • Friday: Draw Near Worship & Encounter Night— 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Sanctuary. You are invited to a night of worship dedicated to the Lord and His presence! Come. Rest in Him; praise Him; open your heart to Him, and pursue His heart. Childcare is available for children ages 2 -5 years old.
  • Saturday: Thy Kingdom Come (Prayer Meeting)— 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM in the church’s back building. God wants to pour Himself out over RiverLife! He wants to bring His people into deeper realms of His Presence; He wants to tabernacle among us. These Saturday morning meetings are a time for us to seek after the Holy Spirit in unity and respond to the tugging on the hearts of our congregation. Any adult (men & women) who desires to know the Holy Spirit deeper, to see Him move, and to draw closer to Him is welcome. No childcare is available.   • Saturday: Love Life Prayer Walk— Participate in a peaceful prayer walk with Love Life Charlotte from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The walk starts at 3236 Latrobe Dr. in Charlotte, and Pastor Byron Wicker will speak. See below (under “Calendar of Upcoming Events”) for details and a link to RSVP.
The Father’s Table provides food assistance to families in our fellowship and community. Food and monetary donations are welcome! For monetary donations, please use our website or app or put “Father’s Table” on the memo line of your gift.   • Dinner: Hamburger Helper, Mac & Cheese, Rice-A-Roni, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned Veggies: Mixed, Corn, Tomatoes, Peas, and Black Beans

  • Wednesday, October 11 – Wednesday, November 1: Twenty-One Day Fast for Israel— Please prayerfully consider joining Hallel Schell in a 21-Day Daniel Fast (no meats, no sweets) for Israel initiated by Tikkun Global in Jerusalem. For specific prayer points based on Hallel’s connections to Israel, email her at [[email protected]].
  • Sunday, October 29 – Saturday, November 4: Love Life Adoption Week— Love Life started in Charlotte in 2016. It is spreading across the nation as they unite and mobilize the church to create a culture of love and life that will end abortion and the orphan crisis. Join us as we “adopt” a week of repentance and obedience to “rebuild the walls” in our cities following the model outlined in Nehemiah chapters 1 – 3.
  • This Morning: Come to church and learn about what Love Life is doing locally and nationwide.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 1: Fast and pray.
  • Saturday, Nov. 4, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Participate in a peaceful prayer walk starting at 3236 Latrobe Dr. in Charlotte. Pastor Byron Wicker will speak.

  • Sunday, November 5: RiverLife’s 2023 Fall Festival — You are invited to join us next Sunday from 1:00 PM – to 5:00 PM at Patterson Farm in Mt. Ulla for our 2023 Fall Festival! Patterson Farm offers a variety of fun Fall activities for the entire family, including a 2.5-acre corn maze, a petting zoo, and hayrides! Get ready to feast at our potluck BBQ lunch!
  • Each family should bring two (2) HOMEMADE sides (such as macaroni & cheese, potato salad, pasta salad, slaw, casseroles, tossed salads, fruit, rolls/bread, etc.).
  • Singles should bring one (1) dessert (such as cookies, pies, brownies, cupcakes, fudge, etc.). Please, NO slow cookers, hot plates, etc. We will not have electricity available for plug-ins.

Fall Festival Volunteer Sign-Ups
  • Mid-November thru Mid-December 2023: Operation Christmas Child Full-Time Seasonal Work Opportunity— Samaritan’s Purse is looking to hire approximately 500+ Christian men and women to fill full-time paid positions for a four-week project with Operation Christmas Child. Positions include various customer service and warehouse roles (including team coaches, greeters, heavy lifters, Class-A CDL drivers, and forklift operators). This is seasonal employment at the Operation Christmas Child facility in Charlotte. Customer service and warehouse positions pay $20/hour, and Class-A CDL driver positions pay $25/hour.
