  • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 p.m. at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while also remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time for fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 p.m. We then transition around 7:00 p.m. to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. We then like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead of us.   • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays.   • JOIN US! Tuesday: nourish (Young Women’s Bible Study)—7:00-8:30 p.m. in the back building. nourish is a gathering place for young women (age 20-40’s) to connect through fellowship and studying God’s word. Over six weeks (September 6-October 11) we will dive into the study by Havilah Cunningham, “Leap Into Love: Living Present to My Purpose on the Planet.” We will cover topics such as self-abandonment, recovering ourselves, building confidence, and changing culture. This study will uncover the truth that you are an example of His most significant work.   • Wednesday: 40 Days of Prayer Initiative with Love Life Charlotte— 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at 3236 Latrobe Drive, Charlotte, NC 2821. Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the restrictions placed on abortion by our neighboring states, North Carolina has seen an influx of women traveling from Tennessee, Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia seeking abortions. Therefore, Love Life Charlotte has organized 40 Days of Prayer & Scripture reading. During these 40 days (8 consecutive weeks Monday through Friday, which started on Monday, August 15th), the participants will read through the entire Bible. If you are interested in joining the group from RiverLife that will go down to Charlotte to worship, pray, read Scripture aloud and stand in the gap, please contact Crystal [[email protected]].
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests as well as Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Our desire is to create an environment for middle schoolers to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, in their knowledge and love of the Word, in their spiritual gifts and in worship. We also believe that social interaction is a key part of a group of this age and have plenty of opportunities for fun and activities.   • Thursday: Más que Vencedores (Spanish-Speaking Life Link)— Join us at 6:45 p.m. at Carmen & Rufino’s house in Statesville! We gather on the third Thursdays of the month for fellowship, a covered-dish meal, Bible study and a time of prayer. Contact Fabiola [704-883-8490] for more information.
  • Thursday: Healing Rooms— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s main building. Everyone is welcome!
