  • This Afternoon: Crowns of Glory Women’s Gathering (Ages 55+)— Women from the Crowns of Glory Life Group are invited to the Jolly’s house at 1:00 p.m. to watch the new Downton Abbey movie.   • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 p.m. at Brian and Jo’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while also remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings consist of a short time for fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 p.m. We then transition around 7:00 p.m. to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. We then like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead of us. If you love waffles and are looking to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check our group out!   • Monday: Who God Is & Who We Are in Him (Mooresville)— Join us from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Sharon’s house. Discovering the true nature of God and who we are in Him is the focus of our group.   • JOIN US! Tuesday: nourish (Young Women’s Bible Study)—7:00-8:30 p.m. in the back building. nourish is a gathering place for young women (age 20-40’s) to connect through fellowship and studying God’s word. Over six weeks (September 6-October 11) we will dive into the study by Havilah Cunningham, “Leap Into Love: Living Present to My Purpose on the Planet.” We will cover topics such as self-abandonment, recovering ourselves, building confidence, and changing culture. This study will uncover the truth that you are an example of His most significant work.   • Tuesday: Finding Treasure in the Word (Troutman)— You are invited to join us at Tom & Debbie Greathead’s house in Troutman for an adult Bible Study. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Psalm 119:162 says “I will rejoice at Your Word as one who finds great treasure.” Bring your Bible as we go on an exciting treasure hunt together!   • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We gather for a short time of worship followed by praying for Pastor Byron’s requests as well as Holy Spirit-led prayer. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Our desire is to create an environment for middle schoolers to grow in their personal relationship with the Lord, in their knowledge and love of the Word, in their spiritual gifts and in worship. We also believe that social interaction is a key part of a group of this age and have plenty of opportunities for fun and activities.   • Thursday: Men of Fire (Men’s Fellowship)— 7:00 p.m. in the church’s back building. We focus on the Scriptures, prayer and building up one another. We meet to support all the men in our fellowship as well as the fellowship as a whole.   • Saturday: Community Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman’s Walk for LIFE 9:30 a.m. at Langtree Lake Norman. Would you like to Help Empower Moms to Choose LIFE?
