  • TODAY: Sojourn Women’s Retreat Registration Deadline— Currently, about 99 ladies have registered with only 5 or so more beds available. Registration will close this evening or when the beds are sold out. Our women’s retreat will be held October 22-24 at Look Up Lodge in Traveler’s Rest, SC with special guest speakers Kathy & Charity Campbell of Ignited Ministries.   • This Morning: Sunday Morning Worship Service— Join us in-person in our sanctuary or virtually (on our RiverLife Media YouTube Channel or on our RiverLife Media Facebook page) for our morning worship service, starting at 10:00 a.m.
  • Monday: Waffles & Worship (Young Adults)— 6:30 p.m. at Brian and Austin’s place in Cornelius. Waffles and Worship is a young adult group (from high school up to around age 30) that seeks to create a place for community and fellowship while also remembering that we have a greater dream and destiny to pursue as believers. Our meetings will consist of a short time for fellowship and waffles starting at 6:30 p.m. We will then transition around 7:00 p.m. to a time of worship followed by a Bible study. We then like to wrap up our meetings by praying for and encouraging one another as we face the week ahead of us. If you love waffles and are looking to build community with other young adults and pursue God alongside fellow believers, come check our group out!   • Monday: Who God Is & Who We Are in Him (Mooresville)— Join us from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Sharon’s house. Discovering the true nature of God and who we are in Him is the focus of our group. No childcare is available. Adults (men and women) of all ages are welcome! Group Leaders are Sharon Mast and Brian & Anita Kurn. For more information, contact Sharon [503-577-4632].
  • Tuesday: Women in the Word— 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the sanctuary. Women in the Word is a Bible study and fellowship group led by Rhonda Bumgarner that meets on Tuesdays. We are currently studying Contemplating the Cross: A Pilgrimage of Prayer by Tricia McCary Rhodes! We are about sharing our hearts, developing relationships and getting into the Word.   • Tuesday: Tidal Wave (Middle School Youth in Grades 6-8)— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Contact Stacy [704-763-5389 / [email protected]] for more information.
  • Wednesday: Women’s Intercessory Prayer— 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Contact Sue [[email protected]] for additional information.
  • Wednesday: High School Youth— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s back building. Email Cory [[email protected]] for details.
  • Thursday: Understanding Critical Race Theory & Its Impact on Our Classrooms— 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Venture Church in Harrisburg. Critical race theory (CRT) makes race the prism through which its proponents analyze all aspects of American life, categorizing individuals into groups of oppressors and victims. It is a philosophy that is infecting everything from politics and education to the workplace and the military. This FREE seminar, hosted by the Heritage Foundation and the NC Faith & Freedom Coalition, will help families understand critical race theory, how state and county-approved curriculum is taught in the classroom and what to do if you find a problem in your child’s classroom.   • Friday: Seeking His Presence (Mount Ulla)— 6:00 p.m. at the Foldoe’s house. We gather for a covered dish fellowship dinner and time in the Word. Contact Cheryl [740-775-0508 / [email protected]] for more information.
  • Friday: Navigating Life (Salisbury)— 7:00 p.m. at the Gheen’s house. You are invited to join us for discussion, prayer and fellowship. All are welcome! Contact Linda [704-637-7888 / [email protected]] for directions or more information.
  • Saturday: Men’s Prayer Group— 7:00 a.m. in the Prayer Room. This prayer time has been a free-flowing mixture of worship, testimony and prayer. We seek the Lord’s heart and pray accordingly! Text Jeff Miller [704-775-6652] for details.

  • SAVE the DATE! Thursday, September 16: Newcomer’s Gathering— 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the church’s main building. Are you new to RiverLife? We want to get to know you! The Newcomer’s Gathering is an occasion for people who are new or relatively new to RiverLife to learn more about the DNA—vision, passion, history—of our fellowship, to get to know the leadership a bit better and to get plugged into the various life groups and ministries of our church.   • Saturday, October 2: Community Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman’s 30th Annual Walk for Life— starting at 9:30 a.m. at Langtree Lake Norman. Would you like to Help Empower Moms to Choose Life? Visit the info table in the foyer or the Pregnancy Center’s website to find out how you can participate. The goal is to raise $85,000 for their ongoing work.   • April 4-7, 2022: Crowns of Glory Trip to the Ark Encounter & Creation Museum— The Crowns of Glory (Ages 50+) life group welcomes anyone (of any age) from the congregation who would like to join them visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in Kentucky next Spring. Cost is approximately $600 and includes a charter bus ride, 3 nights in a hotel, entrance to both parks, plus meal vouchers for the parks.
