Mount of Transfiguration

The Mount of Transfiguration is a pinnacle in the life of Jesus on the earth. He was already about two-thirds of the way through his public ministry. He had already called his disciples. He had spent a lot of time preaching, teaching and healing people. There were huge crowds. But now things were shifting. Mark records a couple more of healings after this event. The crowds began to diminish as Jesus talked more and more about His suffering and death. The Pharisee’s stepped up their attacks on Him. But Peter, James and John got their first taste of an open heaven and it was the beginning of everything changing for them.
