Dear Church Family,
What a year 2012 has been! We made it through increased conflict in the Middle East, a contentious presidential election, the fiscal cliff (at least for now), our roof falling and the end of the world!
Our hearts were also broken as several of our loved ones passed on to heaven in 2012.
None of us really know what the future holds. I suspect we will continue to see turmoil in the world in 2013. However, as sons of daughters of the Majestic King we know He has plans to prosper us and give us a hope filled future (Jer. 29:11) in the midst of an increasing tumultuous world.
I asked the Lord for a a word for our congregation for 2013 and this is what He gave me.
Your beauty and reputation is not in the outer things, in your works or your words, but in what My Spirit is allowed to do in your midst and in your heart. It all comes down to how much space you allow Me to occupy. I desire to help you fulfill your purpose and destiny and to build My throne within your midst.
Becky and I have purposed in our hearts for 2013 to be a year of knowing the Lord and giving Him greater access to our hearts that we may be known by Him. We would love for you join us in this.
I believe it will prove to be a life changer.
“…but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits for God!” (Dan.11:32)
Becky and I pray that 2013 will be the best year in every area of your life yet! May Isaiah 61:3 be yours…beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness that we might be oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He may be glorified!
