Here is an update from Cory Meade!
I just wanted to send a quick mid-week update for camp.
We have picked up right where we left off last year. The atmosphere of “family” is still very present and Ken has stepped right back into that masterfully. The way that he engages the campers is so tender and grandfatherly. Our evening worship times have been brilliant. I knew we were going to have good worship, but I didn’t know it’d be this good. Stacy and Scott are leading with a group of campers (singers, bass guitar, backup guitar, ukelele) and it is crazy good.
Games and activities have been very successful and without injury, so far. That’s great news. We have a ton of fun stuff still to come.
I had a dream last night that as part of our equipment for camp we brought a tattoo artist. It seemed odd at first, but then became very clear and meaningful. The Lord wants to imprint something on each one of these campers that is both permanent and personal. Hallelujah! Please be praying for that!
It is going to get hot this week. Very hot. We ask for prayers for everybody’s energy and safety. We also ask that you continue to contend with us for our campers. The Lord is only beginning with them.
