Dear Church Family,

I hope you noticed the last couple of weeks we had a new logo for our church displayed on the screen during the service.

Here is the story behind the logo.

Projection ScreenWhen we remodeled the sanctuary last year I had planned to upgrade our logo as a last step in upgrading our look. Little did I know it would take a year to accomplish it.

I believe we are in a new season, as a church we have turned a corner and we can expect the Lord to be doing new things all around us. The intent of the logo is to communicate a glimpse of our identity, values and what we believe God desires to do with us.

One of our foundational truths is the simplicity that is in Christ (2 Cor. 11:3). The circle is a simple geometric figure representing relationship. So that is where we begin and end. Out of that relationship with Him everything flows.

Within the circle (relationship) is the Holy Spirit River, the holy place of the Lord’s dwelling (Ps. 46:4-5). The River flows from the throne of God and is of the Lamb (Rev. 22:1). We are being built into the dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Eph. 2:22). Our church exists for the Presence of the Lord and we aim to be a Father’s house on the earth.

Like the circle the Holy Spirit River has no beginning or end. So we expect to see many moves and outpourings of God in the days of ahead and one day there will be a move of God that has no end.

Obviously you would not see all that in the logo, but now you do. That is the story behind it.

Over the next few weeks we will be changing our web site, sign, stationary, etc.

If you have any questions or thoughts, let me know.

Shalom, Byron
