RiverLife,

We had a wonderful time in Chapel Hill yesterday at our 2nd monthly meeting.  The worship was amazing as Jacob Early and Sarah led us in enjoying His Presence.  We hosted about 25-30 folks at a really quaint sandwich shop, Merritt’s Grill, just down the road from campus.  The Lord gave me a word to share on “Becoming a Habitation for the Lord’s Presence”.  We also had a powerful ministry time of praying for those living in Chapel Hill.  The Lord gave us several key prophetic words over them and their hearts were greatly encouraged.  In addition, we were able to pray for the owner of the restaurant, Robin Britt, who is a strong believer battling cancer.

I felt like the time of fellowship and coming together was really great as the Lord is forming a core group to become the foundation of this church.  While few in number at this point, we have 2 key students and a few couples that show a genuine desire to see RiverLife, Chapel Hill become an expression of the Father in their community.

We plan to continue these monthly meetings in January until we can get our “boots on the ground”.  By next Fall, Lord willing, we’ll be ready to start Sunday morning services.  The Lord has already led us to a small, elementary school gym that we are working on reserving for next September where we can start our church with plenty of room to grow.  It’s a beautifully designed facility with inexpensive rent.

Sarah and I want to thank all of our RiverLife family for praying for this endeavor and ask that you continue to pray!  Like bringing a new baby into the world there are many stages along the way.  The birthing process, while joyous, presents many challenges.  However, our Father is so faithful and will meet us at each and every step.

Grace & Peace,

Matthew Bollinger
