Dear RiverLife Family,

This is the latest on the repairs being done.

The room has been cleared of all the furniture, musical equipment, fixtures, etc. The shoring/stabilizing of the room is in process. The sheet rock on the ceiling will be removed along with the insulation in the ceiling. This will allow the Engineer safe access to the trusses for inspection, assessing the damage and development of design to make the necessary repairs. The picture will become much clearer early next week.

Looking back on the week I see the hand of God all over us. However in the midst of all that was going on it did not feel like the hand of God was on us I had some very stressful moments, but the Lord is with us. We made some amazing progress this week. Here are some things we can be thankful for.

1. No one has been injured.

2. The problem manifested while we were in the building so we would know we had a serious problem. Yes it was distracting, but the Lord preserved our church.
In Luke 13:4 Jesus spoke of the tower of Siloam falling and killing 18 people. That did not happen to us! The Lord has a future for us. That gives me confidence.

3. By Monday evening we had a very experienced and highly recommended Structural Engineer on the job and a plan to shore up/stabilize and repair the building.

4. By Tuesday morning we had if not the best certainly one of the best constructions crews in the area working under the Engineer’s direction on the building.

5. By Wednesday we had two options on a place to meet for Sunday and by Thursday we made the decision on which option worked best for us.

The eye of God is surely upon us and His right hand is with us. We are doing everything we know to do, being told to do and the Lord is protecting, providing some of His choice servants to help us through this trial. God is doing what He does. I know He will continue to do so.

Here are some things that need your prayers.

1. Continued safety for the workers and everyone.

2. Supernatural wisdom for the engineer and the workers.

3. The repair would not be complex but straight forward, simple and would be completed quickly.

4. Finances – this is not a little job. We need much favor around insurance, etc. Really, we need some miracles.

5. Wisdom, peace and grace for those of us who are involved with making decisions, etc.

6. Our congregation would be secure and have grace for the disruptions, inconvenience, having to meet in another location.

7. What the enemy meant for evil God will surely turn for our good. Our congregation would grow stronger, we would all lock arms in true Holy Spirit unity and come through this much greater than what we were.

The Lord is a good and a great God. We are leaning on Him as we come out of the wilderness. I pray the Lord is glorified in all of this.

Shalom to you all. Byron
