A Light That Shines in a Dark Place

We are to pursue love as it is the foundation on which all spiritual gifts are released and operated (1 Corinthians 13). And at the same time, to earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy (1 Corinthians 14:1). Why such a strong emphasis on prophecy over other spiritual gifts? “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10). The prophetic’s overriding theme, goal, and vision are to make the Person and ways of Christ Jesus known.
